My portfolio features a diverse range of projects, including classical stop-motion animation, 3D renders, documentary work,
and photography.
I LOVE MIXING DIFFERENT STYLES AND GENRES IN ORDER TO CREATE EFFECTS OF MULTICULTURAL, MULTIDIMENSIONAL DIALOG.
With a BFA and a Master of Arts in Directing, along with an MPS in Virtual Production, my expertise spans both traditional filmmaking and cutting-edge technology. Proficient in both 3D and 2D software, I blend classic storytelling with modern tools to create dynamic,
immersive visuals.
Logline: A young man retreats to his bathtub, confronting past mistakes and his crumbling identity as his girlfriend decides whether to trust him or terminate her pregnancy.
We built a stop-motion lightbox using wooden boards and glass purchased from a construction market. We designed it with a larger gap between the boards, allowing us to illuminate the paper layers more effectively and create depth through light.
My role was to direct and write the film. The core idea was to tell the harsh and unsettling story of abortion through delicate, fine papercuts, ensuring that the message was conveyed with clarity and impact — without relying on jarring visuals or blood.
We animated our papercuts frame by frame, capturing each shot with a Canon Mark II positioned above the stop-motion lightbox. This setup allowed us to highlight the delicate details of the paper and its texture, creating visually striking images.
Our team put in tremendous effort and successfully achieved its goal, bringing the vision to life with dedication, precision, and a deep appreciation for the art of stop-motion storytelling.
This animation was created using Unreal Engine and Vicon motion capture. The dancers' movements were recorded and integrated into the final animation, set in a 3D forest environment that I built entirely from scratch.
My role in this project involved developing the concept and main idea, editing, motion data retargeting, creating the 3D forest environment, and setting up the lighting for the scene.
It was especially exciting to integrate real dancers' performances into the Unreal 3D world.
Logline: A hardworking New Yorker, haunted by painful memories, reconciles with her past through a surreal journey in an apartment building on the clouds.
The film was entirely produced at the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center as part of the MPS program.
We developed our 3D environments from the ground up and crafted the VFX in-house, fully handling every aspect of the production process.
A story about someone often overlooked by ambitious individuals and influential politicians—a single mother raising her four children in a struggling neighborhood, just an hour away from the metropolis. While life in the metropolis rushes forward, she longs to slow down and cherish precious moments with her children. Despite the hardships, nothing is more important to her.
While mother Gulmira is telling her story, our crew is filming the children’s games on the streets. It was a refreshing and immersive experience…
They said “We almost forgot we were shooting, caught up in the joy of playing alongside them. Using random boxes and abandoned furniture as props, they effortlessly sparked our imagination”.
The year is 5025. After centuries of nurturing life, incubators have evolved—now, they don’t just sustain babies, they sing to them.
Your little astronaut can enjoy childhood without floating away!
Martian incubator! Life finds a way! Even here…
I absolutely love working with Redshift—its speed and efficiency make rendering a seamless experience. Mastering its optimization and shading techniques, I can achieve high-quality visuals with precision and creativity. My deep understanding of Redshift allows me to push the boundaries of lighting, texturing, and cinematic rendering.
I have a strong command of 3D modeling, with a deep understanding of topology, edge flow, and optimization for both real-time and pre-rendered environments. I learned modeling because I always need original assets to bring my ideas to life. Creating my own models gives me full creative control and ensures that every detail aligns with my vision. This skill allows me to execute unique and high-quality work without relying on pre-made assets.
I excel at post-production, bringing together all elements to create a polished and visually compelling final piece. My expertise in color grading, compositing, and editing allows me to enhance storytelling and refine every detail. With a keen eye for aesthetics and technical precision, I ensure that the final product meets the highest industry standards.
My love for After Effects runs deep, as it was the first software I ever learned. It introduced me to the world of motion graphics and compositing, shaping my foundation in post-production. Even now, I continue to push its limits, using it as a powerful tool to refine and enhance my creative projects.
Texturing is one of my favorite parts of the 3D process, and Substance Painter is my go-to tool for achieving high-quality, realistic textures. With its intuitive interface and powerful features, I can bring materials to life, adding depth and detail to my models. My expertise in using Substance Painter allows me to create textures that elevate the visual impact of any project.
feel free to reach out for more details—I’d love to chat!
